Madden NFL 24 Update 1.002 Patch Notes | Madden NFL 24 August 24 Patch Notes:

Update 2: The official patch notes are now available and are listed below.

Franchise:

  • Fixed an issue where users were able to re-sign high interest players at very low contract offers.
    • Note: This was affecting offline leagues only
  • Fixed general stability issues

Misc:

  • Various tuning and stability fixes

Update: EA has still not released any official patch notes, but here are some of the confirmed new additions and whatnot for today.

The official patch notes aren’t live yet, but here are some of the issues the team is looking into for the PC version of the game, as well as the current known remedy for them.

Our development team wanted to provide an update to our PC Player Community. The team is aware and actively working on two key issues. Those two issues are related to game performance and menu lag for some players.

Game Performance

Two tips to improve performance are:

  • Adjust the frame rate from uncapped to a specific number. (Ex. 60 FPS or 120 FPS) and check performance in-game.
  • Ensure the game is running in full screen under the visual settings menu.

Note: In order to bring the PC version of Madden NFL 24 in line with the next gen console feature set, the minimum specs required has increased this year. We are seeing some players that are not meeting the minimum spec requirements to optimally run Madden NFL 24. You can review the specs here and the team is working on in-game feedback to make players aware.

Menu Lag

The team is aware and working on addressing menu lag across all areas of Madden NFL 24.

The team continues to track feedback and monitor telemetry to actively update the game in future title updates.

Share Your Specs:

As our team is actively working on the two key issues, please take a moment to provide us with the following PC specs and graphics setting information in this thread:

  • CPU
  • GPU
  • RAM
  • Windows Version (e.g. Windows 10, Windows 11)
  • Graphics Settings for Madden NFL 24
  • Game Resolution Selected (e.g. 1920×1080)

Reminder: Secure Boot on Windows 11 is required to launch and play Madden NFL 24.  If you are having trouble launching Madden NFL 24, please follow the instructions in our EA Help article to enable Secure Boot https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/pc/ea-anticheat/.

Update: Official patch notes have been added.

It sucks. I have a waterblocked 4090 on liquid metal and a direct-die cooled 7950x3d with 3x 480mm rads and a gen 5 ssd and there is no amount of tweaking that can make it smooth. I’m sensitive to stuttering. I really thought I’d get 3x the frame rate I’m getting. It uses 500+w on my gpu and pushes my cpu to temperatures I don’t even see while running benchmarks. Tried locking at 60, 120, unlocked, vsync on/off, nothing works.

This is the same b/s they did with jedi survivor. Belittle everyone by acting like a few minimum spec players are the ones having the issues, and refusing to admit that their games are just unplayable. Jedi survivor was never even fixed. It’s still unplayable if you’re sensitive to stutters

Wow. EA is so out if touch. The game is broken on pc, and not just for some people. I have a 7950x3d, 4090, gen 5 ssd and ddr5-8000 and I still can’t play this trash. It wants to push my cpu and gpu harder than any other game while still stuttering before and after every gameplay transition(every animation after every play). Vsync on/off, 60/120/unlocked, doesn’t matter. EA has it running fine on zen 2 console apu’s but they put zero effort into the pc port then claim only some people are having the issue. It’s typical, and sad. I expected to get 300fps in this game. For how heavy it is, it should be rendering all 32 stadiums simultaneously with path tracing.

That said, I have no issue with brute forcing a game while EA figures out how to make games for PC. I have a huge issue with not getting a smooth experience and dropping frames every 10 seconds regardless of hardware choice
