Since Charles Martinet, the original voice actor of our favorite plumber, Mario, announced that he was stepping away from the role, the internet has been in a frenzy, trying to figure out who would be replacing Martinet. Well, that mystery has finally been solved, as the new voice behind Mario, Luigi, and several other characters has been revealed!
Meet Kevin Afghani, the new voice actor for Mario! The man himself confirmed this in a posting on X.
Incredibly proud to have voiced Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Thanks to Nintendo for inviting me into the Flower Kingdom!

Huge congrats to Kevin, and we cannot wait to hear him in Super Mario Bros. Wonders, which launches for the Switch exclusively on October 20, 2023.
Originally they thought the new Mario voice actor was Mick Wingert who was the English dub voice of Kokuyou in Boruto Naruto Next generation. Because dataminers got a demo of Mario Wonder and seen mention of Mick Wingert.
