Report: Marvel Rivals Datamine Reveals Valkryie, Maps and More; The Fantastic 4 Officially Confirmed
[summaraize]
While we already reported on some of the leaked characters headed to Marvel Rivals, a recent datamine has confirmed a few more characters, their abilities, and new maps.
The new leak comes from a datamine of the game’s files by X0XLeak where it mentions Valyrie will be part of the lineup:

In addition to the, supervillain The Hood has also been unearthed from the game’s files, and the character’s abilities are even part of the datamine. While there’s no official description of each ability unearthed, we do get an idea of the character’s kit. The Hood will use dual guns and will be able to transform into a demon form. Given his abilities, expect this character to be another Duelist, which will clog up team compositions more.
Marvel Rivals The Hood Abilities
- Dual gun shooting
- Dual Gun Overheat Cooling
- Shield
- Shield health management
- Clone Projection
- Clone Range Control
- Clone Detonation
- Demon transformation
While Valkyrie’s character appeared in the Marvel Studios film Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity Ward: Endgame, The Hood has yet to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Of course, NetEase has their own take on Marvel’s characters, so don’t expect a 1:1 recreation.
Also worth pointing out is the info dug up is in no way official, and while datamine files are almost always legitimate, things do change, and some characters might be removed or have their kit changed at the last minute.
Marvel Rivals Datamined Maps
In terms of maps, a bunch have also been unearthed:
- K’un-Lun
- Collector’s Theme park
- Thebes
- Krakoa // Domination
- Arakko // Escort
- New York // Escort + Hybrid
If I had to hazard a guess, the next map incoming is the New York one since NetEase recently confirmed that The Fantastic 4 will be part of the game’s roster where it also showed The Baxter Building as part of the reveal image.
The Fantastic 4 Officially Confirmed for Marvel Rivals

As you can see, The Baxter Building is prominently displayed in the official image, and its address in the Marvel-verse is 42nd street and Madison Avenue in Manhattan, New York. In the comics, The Baxter Building is a 35-story high-rise building that’s home to the Fantastic 4 and the Baxter Foundation, which is a government-funded think tank.
Expect The Fantastic 4 and the New York map to be available in Season 1, though there’s no official date yet. We’ll know more next week when the trailer for Marvel’s First Family is released.
Also worth pointing out is that the info dug up is not official, and while datamine files are almost always legitimate, things do change, and some characters might be removed or have their kit changed at the last minute.
In other Marvel Rivals news, NetEase has earned the ire of the community for sneaking in bots in Quick Match games after a player suffers multiple losses. This is done to ensure the player has an easier match and, conversely, should win.
