Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Version Launches Tomorrow, and We Still Don’t Know the PC Requirements
[summaraize]
Insomniac Games has remained silent on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC version, last mentioning it 10 days ago. With the title releasing tomorrow, there have not been any official PC requirements and specifications, nor has there been a PC-featured trailer. What in the world is going on?
PC Players Still Don’t Know What They’re Getting With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Version

After over a year of being exclusive to the PS5, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is finally launching on PC tomorrow. While there’s much to be excited about, the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been rather odd. Normally, whenever a game is about to launch, studios and its publishers will market the title in whatever way is possible. Yet, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, things have been pretty quiet for its PC release.
What makes things even stranger is that months after its announcement, we still don’t know what exact new features are included in this PC port. Typically, PlayStation would release a PC-specific trailer showcasing some of the improvements and features, but they’ve yet to do that in this case. On top of that, and being unable to pre-order, we still don’t know the exact system requirements for the game. A day before release, players don’t know if their PCs can handle the game or not.
It’s not a great sign, which is surprising considering Nixxes Software, the developers porting the game to PC, has a track record of delivering some of the best PlayStation PC ports. They did wonders for both God of War games and worked on the original Marvel’s Spider-Man PC Remastered. I suppose if we look at those titles, at least in terms of features, we can probably expect support for widescreen, DLSS, 120 FPS, and more.
Still, it does worry us that the PC port of the game will have much more demanding requirements than the first game. That, or the game isn’t fully optimized yet, which may indicate a rough launch for tomorrow. We’ll find out soon enough unless we get lucky and the specs drop later today.
