Gamers on Xbox will be happy to know that the Mass Effect Legendary Edition preload has become available to download in preparation for next week’s launch.
Like many other preloads, Xbox users can begin downloading the Mass Effect Legendary Edition preload simply by using the Xbox Game App. All a user has to do is search for “Mass Effect Legendary Edition” and the option to download to a console will show up. You can download it on either the Xbox One, or the Xbox Series.
According to the Microsoft Store, Mass Effect Legendary Edition download size is 84GB on Xbox consoles.
For PlayStation gamers, the preload is expected to go live the Tuesday before release. According to PlayStation Game Size, the PS4 version of Mass Effect is also around 80GB, though it depends on which reason you download from.

This is significantly larger than the original releases, even when combined. This should come as no surprise, seeing that the Legendary Edition of the trilogy with have improved resolution, textures, among other things.
For those curious, Bioware confirmed yesterday the target resolution and FPS of each platform. Note, this game doesn’t have a native next-gen port and is using backwards compatibility to the fullest extent that they are allowed to.
