Like it or not, games that rely on multiplayer will eventually go down, and this especially rings true for sports games. Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment San Diego Studio has released the MLB The Show 16 update 1.10, and it brings the servers offline!
Mind, I’m not sure if there’s anyone still playing this offline given MLB The Show 20 is up and about today, and y’know, sports gamers do want updated rosters and new players, but here ya go.

On July 28, 2020 Sony Interactive Entertainment will decommission the online service for MLB® The Show ™16 on the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 systems. Multiplayer and other online features will no longer be available, but you will continue to be able to play the game and use Stubs in offline modes. We thank you for your devotion, and hope you’ve enjoyed your game experience.
