Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Is Missing Major Past Features at Launch, Here’s a List

If you were one of the many players that jumped into the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, you might have noticed the absence of some core staple features, such as the leaderboards and even stats. You aren’t the only one to notice, as this year’s iteration of Call of Duty is missing quite a bit. 

As outlined by the Call of Duty Reddit community, you’ll find below a list of confirmed features that are either missing or removed in this year’s Call of Duty. 

• HC Mode
• Leaderboards
• Stats
• Barracks
• Challenges
• Medals
• Ability to Inspect weapons in Gunsmith
• Ability to save Custom Blueprints
• Camo Unlock Notifications In-Game
• Import settings not working
• Ability to turn off Cross-Play (in-game on Xbox and PC at least, PlayStation has the option)
• XP Token Countdown
• Customizable Reticles
• Split Screen Mode

Do mind that not all these features are major, but the lack of a leaderboard and any stat tracking is a pretty big deal to many. We aren’t sure of the reasoning for their removal, though we should point out that DICE did a similar thing when Battlefield 2042 was released. It wasn’t well received there either, as it eventually prompted them to add those features back in. 

Hopefully, Infinity Ward acts swiftly on this and adds them back in an upcoming update. We’ll be sure to keep you posted if anything new happens.
