Heads up! Infinity Ward has released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 update 1.32 (PS5 version 1.032), and this is a massive download that ties into Modern Warfare 3, which launches this week.

Update 2: For those wondering what got changed for Modern Warfare 3 as part of its day one update, which is lumped in the Call of Duty HQ launcher, head on over here.
Update: Activision has laid out info regarding the changes to “Call of Duty HQ” with today’s title update. For those not familiar, the MW2 game client has been renamed to Call of Duty HQ which will act as the hub to launch various Call of Duty titles. Go read everything new about it here.
So far, Infinity Ward has not released the official patch notes, though we do know it changes the Call of Duty launcher from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3, which is a given since MW3 is out this week.
Once the official patch notes are out, we’ll update the article. That said, don’t expect anything major from this patch even if it is a hefty download, as it’s more for Modern Warfare 3 than anything else.

You should buy an additional two terabyte SSD. You can get one for pretty good price and you can fit like 40 games on your PS5. It’s ridiculously easy to install too. You just take off the plates, plug it in, screw it in, put the plates back on, the end.

There is no reason what so ever for anyone to be forced to download modern warefare 3 files when they don’t own the game, just to be able to play modern warefare 2. I was thinking about purchasing mw3 at some point but now i think i’m done with cod. I have to pay for the gigabytes of data, and this dumb update just eliminated my ability to play the game.

This update forces you to download 100gb+ and it deletes MW2 so once that’s finished you need to re download MW2. Absolute waste of time I don’t want MW3!
My download speed can’t keep up with these updates. It takes 24 hours for 50 gb. Now I have 180 when last week I just did a 50 gb. The 1.32 update seems to have killed the MW2 campaign on my PS4. Anyone else having issues with the MW2 campaign? I’ve tried to reinstall (the whole MW 160gb package) 5 times, and still it says missing DLC. Everything says “MW3”, which I haven’t brought.
