Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition XP Bonuses Previously Exclusive to In-Game Store Now Extended to All Versions

modern warfare 2 can't install multiplayer pack

All owners of the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition will now be getting the XP bonuses previously limited to the in-game store version. Infinity Ward has recognized player confusion surrounding the Vault Edition’s content, and as such will be delivering 10 hours of double XP and Weapon XP tokens to all Vault Edition owners.

Read the announcement below:

The Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition is the highest-tier version of the game priced at a hefty $99.99. It includes the Red Team 141 Operator pack, the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, one Season of the Battle Pass and 50 Tier Skips, the Ghost Legacy Pack of Operator and weapon skins, and Campaign Early Access as an additional pre-order bonus.

Additionally, when the Vault Edition’s full content was revealed in June, another Vault Edition bonus (10 hours of double XP and Weapon XP tokens) was revealed exclusive to the in-game store in previous Call of Duty titles. While that exclusivity was not hidden or obfuscated, it was still essentially in fine print, causing much confusion for players who purchased the Vault Edition through other stores and never received the tokens at launch. In a move to rectify the issue, Infinity Ward will now be delivering the bonus tokens to all owners of the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition within the next two days, making all versions of the Vault Edition equal to each other.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Stay tuned here at MP1st for our detailed, informed review of the game that should be hitting the site soon.
