Modern Warfare 3 MTZ-556 Loadout: Best Attachments and Perks

The next Call of Duty is here, and there are over 100 weapons to choose from. To help you start racking up kills, we’ve got a Modern Warfare 3 MTZ-556 loadout that’s sure to give you an edge. Seeing as how the MTZ-556 is one of the first weapons available in the game’s preset loadouts, you can start leveling it up before you unlock custom loadouts and the gun itself at level 12.

Here’s our recommended attachments for the MTZ-556:

Modern Warfare 3 MTZ-556 Loadout and Best Attachments:

MTZ-556 Attachments

  • Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor
  • Barrel: MTZ Drifter Heavy Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Rear Grip: Bruen TR-24 Assault Grip
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum
    • OR Preferred Optic

The MTZ-556 is already pretty fast in terms of Assault Rifles, so this build focuses on giving the gun a little boost in range and accuracy. The Barrel, Rear Grip, and Underbarrel all help with aim stability and recoil control, and the barrel emphasizes bullet velocity & range as well. The suppressor doesn’t provide any bonuses, but it also doesn’t provide any cons, making it useful now that dots are back on the minimap.

We’ve included a larger magazine to reduce reload frequency, but if you’d prefer, you can swap this out for your favorite optic. 1x optics no longer reduce ADS speed in Modern Warfare 3, which means swapping the larger magazine out for one will boost your ADS speed by a fair amount.

MTZ-556 Loadout Perks

MTZ-556 Loadout

In terms of most of your loadout, it’s dealer’s choice. In terms of perks, however, we believe that there are a few that work well with this MTZ-556 build:

  • Quick-Grip Gloves: These will help you switch to your secondary faster should you burn through a magazine mid-firefight. The downside of the larger magazine is its increased reload time, so being able to switch to your other weapon in a panic is useful.
  • Running Sneakers: These are all about boosting your Tac-Sprint duration and refresh rate, which will ensure that you can still move fast even with this slightly heavier build.
  • EOD Padding: Reducing damage from explosives and fire is always good just in case you can’t get out of the way in time. This is a safe pick for most loadouts.

And there you have it! Obviously, feel free to tool with it as you please, but we’ve found this build works pretty well.

Modern Warfare 3 is out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Shoutout to WarzoneLoadout for their MTZ-556 build!
