Update: EA has announced that services are going back to normal, so this should be a non-issue moving forward/
The community has confirmed multiple Battlefield games are having server issues now. EA is on the case, as the company said, “The team is aware of the ongoing outage across multiple Battlefield games and is working to resolve it,”
No word on what’s causing this or which regions are affected. For now, we’re assuming the outage is worldwide. Once EA/DICE releases an acknowledgment that the server issues are up, we’ll update the article to reflect this.
Regarding what to expect for the franchise this year, EA should reveal the new Battlefield game in full very soon, as DICE intends to hold a large-scale server test in “early 2025” per EA. While details for the in-development Battlefield game are scarce, EA has confirmed it’s dropping 128-player matches, as well as Specialists, in favor of a more familiar class-based system.
