Visual Concepts has released the NBA 2K22 update 1.007 patch this September 30, and this seems to be just for the next-gen versions (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) versions of the game once again.

The City/MyCAREER/Pro-Am/Rec

• Continued stability and performance improvements have been to enhance the overall experience.
• Resolved an issue with some Kendrick Perkins videos being unavailable to view, preventing the related quests from being completed.
• Addressed an issue with The Game music quest line that could prevent it from being completed.
• Fixed an issue with certain dev coach quests in the NBA not starting, and related stats not being tracked correctly.
• Quests related to personal brand levels will now track properly before reaching the NBA.
• Made improvements to the draft stock system in MyCAREER to better reflect your status.
• Resolved a hang that could occur when changing badge loadout during shootarounds in the City.
• Addressed an issue where some players would briefly appear invisible when riding vehicles in the City.
• Fixed a reported issue with invites after finishing a Pro-Am game as a squad.
• General
• Various improvements to user interface elements in all modes to enhance the overall experience.
• Resolved a rare disconnect issue in Play With Friends W Online games.

• Addressed a hang that could occur when calling a play in Triple Threat games.
• Players are no longer forced to use layup timing in MyTEAM Draft games.

Same as always, Visual Concepts has not released the official patch notes yet, and we’re expecting the studio to release this later today with another Courtside Report.

Here are the confirmed list of bugs and whatnot that needs fixing, that are being sent to the dev team (hopefully, some of these are sorted in the patch).

General

• Bug: Can’t load a custom roster for 2KU Freestyle, have to use workaround by loading roster into Blacktop. [Video]

Gameplay

• Bug (?): Alley-oops are too easily intercepted, players jump unrealistically high to stop them. [Video 1, Video 2]
• Suggestion: Help defenders should be able to contest an opponent’s shot using the right stick, even if the help defender’s matchup arrow has not locked on to the shooter yet.

• Bug: After saving a custom jumpshot and opening it again in the jumpshot creator, different base and release will be selected. Visual bug. [Video]

• Bug: ‘Dev Coach Challenge’ quests can’t progress because player cannot enter coach’s office. [Video]
• Bug: Adidas and New Balance endorsements don’t give On Court Shoes.
• Typo: ‘Purchasing a Studio’ quest objectives for both record and fashion labels has typos and grammar issues. [Picture 1 (Record), Picture 2 (Fashion)]

MyCAREER — NBA Career

• Bug: Saving and quitting a NBA game resets player indicator and green release SFX.
• Bug: Legacy issue — MyPlayer is invisible during championship celebration. [Video]
• Bug: Logic for Player of the Game needs improvement, being awarded to players who play poorly. [Video]
• Bug: Missing from presentation in NBA games, works in college and in other game modes:
  • Action replays
  • Mobile 1 blocks
  • State Farm assists
  • AT&T dunks
  • David Aldridge pregame interview
  • Halftime show
  • Player of the Game
• Typo: For Italian translations, “Defensive Breakdown” in MyCareer is translated as “Analisi difesa”, but that means “Defensive Analysis”. Should be something like “Errore in difesa”.

MyCAREER — Park/Pro-Am/Rec

• Bug: Environment art sometimes disappears on current-gen. [Video]

MyTEAM

• Bug: Shoe boosts and badges do not work in Domination games. The actual shoe is also not equipped on the player’s feet. [Video]
