The upcoming Yakuza spinoff, titled “Like a Dragon: Ishin!,” just got a new trailer, and it showcases a bit more of the game’s story. We learn more about Sakamoto Ryoma and his story, as well as his conflicts, both internal and external.

A treacherous road awaits Sakamoto Ryoma. Framed for the murder of his mentor and unable to distinguish friend from foe, this solemn samurai’s fight for justice challenges the course of Japan’s history.

For those only vaguely familiar with the Yakuza series, Like a Dragon: Ishin! promises a brand-new story that’s separate from the mainline series. This means that even if you’re not familiar with the franchise’s deep gang-themed lore, you’ll still be able to enjoy Like a Dragon: Ishin! for what it is. The spinoff does introduce familiar faces, however, so fans of the franchise won’t be missing out on anything, either.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is set to launch on February 21 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
