Yakuza Kiwami 3 (the remake of Yakuza 3) and its Dark Ties spinoff are getting a playable demo ahead of their launch next month.

Fans who are looking forward to either the remake or the new adventure starring the antagonist, Yoshitaka Mine, won’t have to wait until next month to get their hands on it, as SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku is making sure gamers have a chance to experience it starting today.

Get Ready to Brawl

Starting today at 9:00 p.m. PT/12:00 a.m. ET (consoles) and 7:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. (PC), Yakuza fans and newcomers all over the world will be able to download the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Demo. Unfortunately, save data does not transfer to the final game, since it starts you off sometime after the intro.

Here’s what’s included in the demo for each game (sold as a single game, with Dark Ties included in the menu)

  • In Yakuza Kiwami 3, players can explore Ryukyu, Okinawa as Kazuma Kiryu, beating down bad guys while dynamically switching between Kiryu’s brutal Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami and weapon-based Ryukyu styles and indulging in immersive side experiences like karaoke, sub-stories, outfit customization and more.
  • In Dark Ties, players can enjoy a slice of the all-new story featuring Yoshitaka Mine, exploring Kamurocho and variety of side experiences while also sinking their teeth into Mine’s shoot-boxing combat to stylishly dispose of foes.
