New Warframe “Qorvex” Revealed as 55th Character; Gauss Prime Access Coming This January

Whispers in the Walls wouldn’t be a major update if it didn’t include a new Warframe, and that’s just what Digital Extremes has for us, as Qorvex, the 55th new Warframe has been revealed! But fair warning, Qorvex is a thick boi covered in layers of concrete.

Qorvex, as revealed during Warframe’s Devstream 175, is a void core, or what the team calls a Crucible. He has a Void Core encased in concrete to keep that core at bay, with his general theme around concrete and active radiation.

Qorvex abilities and weapons are:

  • Chyrinka Pillar – Qorvex will smash down to the ground, summoning a pillar that will pulse radiation damage and slow enemies down. You can summon two at a time.
  • Containment Wall – Summons two parallel concrete wall that slams into each other, damaging any enemies caught between them. If used on a Chyrinka Pillar, it’ll increase the rate of their pulse waves.
  • Disometric Gaurd – A buff that can be used on himself and allies. Prevent status effects from within an affinity range. If you have a kill or assist on an enemy affected by radiation status, it’ll increase the stats there.
  • Crucible Blast – Shoots out a beam of radiation, causing massive damage to enemies. It can hit Chyrinka Pilla to speed up pulse waves.
  • Heavy weapon – The Mandonel – A shotgun-like weapon that blasts radiations. Has a charged shot.

Qorvex looks quite like the powerhouse of a Warframe, as most of his abilities are centered around crowd control with high damage and status ailments.

He’ll be available for players once they’ve completed the Whispers in the Walls quest that’s coming for free this December.

In some related news, Guass, the 41st Warframe, is getting a new Prime form! Check him out in his shiny new gold form.

Gauss Prime Access comes this January.

What are your thoughts on Qorvex? Is he what you are hoping to see? Do you think he’ll become a popular main for Warframe players?
