Nintendo Switch 2 Fake Images and Video Are Making the Rounds Online and Are Really Well Made
While it’s been over six years since the original launch of the Nintendo Switch, we still haven’t gotten any confirmation of the rumored next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console from Nintendo just yet. Still, that hasn’t stopped the “leaks” and whatnot from spreading, with the most recent one of a product image “leak” of the Switch 2.

Keep in mind that this is very likely a fake leak, which we’ll talk about more in a minute, but for now, here are the leaks in question. The following images have cropped up in a few places throughout the internet, such as this Twitter account and this Famiboards thread.
The first image is a product image of the Nintendo Switch 2, which features a rounded-out screen and Joycons.

This second image is what appears to be a product manual of the Switch 2:

As well as some low-resolution closeups:

There’s also a GIF of the console which showcases its homepage UI as well as how you insert your game cards into the console:
Currently, we’ve been unable to confirm whether these leaks are fake or not, with the Famiboards thread citing the images as a mockup of some kind. Even so, it’s unlikely that this leak is legitimate. Despite the leak looking somewhat well-made, some have commented on the poor translation used in the product manual image:
is in Italian and a part makes me think it was automatically translated, fake

Again, while the images seem legitimate at first glance, it’s unlikely that these are actual leaks, so take them with a huge grain of salt. Video game leaks, whether software or hardware-related, are becoming easier to make, so it’s best to remain skeptical when it comes to leaks until more official confirmation surfaces.
