It looks like all the rumors about the RTX 5090 might be true. Brand packaging of the product has surfaced online, giving us our first official look at the next-generation graphic card and its memory size.

PC enthusiasts are about to get really happy with Nvidia’s next offerings, at least in the specs department. Their soon-to-be-revealed RTX 5000 series line of GPUs packs quite a punch. Well, the RTX 5090 is, at least, as their top-of-the-line card has been confirmed (via leaked packaging provided to VideoCardz) to feature 32GB of DDR7 memory.

Nvidia’s RTX 5090 Will Feature a Whopping 32GB of DDR7

For comparison, the RTX 4090, the current top-of-the-line Nvidia card for the RTX line, features 24GB of GDDR6X memory, which many already consider overkill. The RTX 5090, with its additional 8 GB of memory and all 32 GB being DDR7, is estimated to provide a 50-70% performance boost. This GPU is going to be taking things to the extreme when it comes to raw power.

Nvidia is currently scheduled to have a keynote during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) tomorrow, where all of this information is expected to be announced. On top of the new RTX 5000 series line of cards, which also includes the RTX 5070 and RTX 5080, it’s expected that Nvidia will also reveal the next generation of DLSS, presumedly called DLSS 4. Let us hope the company isn’t planning on locking DLSS 4 to the RTX 5000 series, something they did with DLSS 3, where only supported RTX 4000 series cards could run it.

However, that may be the least concern for many, as the pricing of cards is projected to be well over the $1000 mark for even the lowest entry-level version (RTX 5070). We can’t imagine the RTX 5090 retailing for less than $1599 MSRP, the current MSRP for the RTX 4090. If anything, it will likely dip past the $2000 mark, making it one of the most expensive consumer-level GPUs to hit the market.

Well, it won’t be long before we know all, as Nvidia’s CES keynote will begin tomorrow, January 6, at 6:20 PM PST and will be streamed on YouTube
