PAC-MAN Live-Action Film In Pre-Production by Wayfarer Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment

PAC-MAN film

Wayfarer Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. have just announced their plans for a PAC-MAN live-action film. The film will be based on a new original story by Sonic the Hedgehog’s Chuck Williams with an initial $125M investment.

Wayfarer Studios’ $125 million investment is expected to boost the strategic growth of the film. Justin Baldoni, Manu Gargi, Andre Calof, and Tracy Ryerson will develop the film on behalf of Wayfarer Studios. On the other hand, Chuck Williams, and Tim Kwok will produce on behalf of Lightbeam Entertainment.

As of right now, there are no further details about the plot of PAC-MAN or how the 2D video game will be adapted into a live-action film on the big screen. PAC-MAN is now set to be the latest video-game-related movie, joining Super Mario Bros from Illumination.

The PAC-MAN live-action film is, of course, inspired by the record-setting and award-winning PAC-MAN video game franchise. It is considered a cultural icon since its original release back in 1980 by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.
