Heisters having issues logging online, it’s not just you. Payday 3 down reports have surfaced which has translated to matchmaking errors and issues this September 21.

Update 3: The devs have said that matchmaking services are gradually being brought back online.

Update #2: Starbreeze has confirmed that some fixes are being deployed though issues are still persisting on their end.
We have deployed some fixes, but we're still seeing instability in the matchmaking. We're continuing investigation and will keep working on addressing this.

With the game’s official release today, I guess this is to be expected, but still a bummer nonetheless. Once we get more info about this, we’ll update the article.
In the meantime, go read up on the Year 1 roadmap Starbreeze has outlined to know what’s incoming to the game in the next few months.

Great developers actually given their track record for post launch content, just a monumental mess of a server issue.
I guess they didn’t expect their game to be so popular and/or weren’t prepared for the influx of console gaming market.
Either way I’m sure it’ll work itself out. Though this is bad, what I have played so far has been a great experience and I’m eager to play more.

Being able to download a game nowadays started that whole “unfinished” game release trend developers are doing. I mean we pay them anyways for a product which isn’t even close to be playable. Before that whole online shit started, on PlayStation 2 and First Xbox they had to make sure the games are finished and working because you couldn’t just send a patch to download and done… The games back there where better quality wise too… Medal of honor? Best WW2 shooter back there…
