Sony has just announced its newest loyalty program for all PlayStation fans, called “PlayStation Stars.” The program will reward players for playing and making purchases, in return it offers various rewards including PSN wallet funds.

The program is meant to celebrate the players as they simply spend more time on the gaming system. Players will earn points by completing various challenges and activities.
Players will also be rewarded every month for simply playing any game, when winning different tournaments, and when earning specific trophies. Anyone who is the first to earn a platinum trophy in their local timezone will also earn more points.

PlayStation Plus members that are also enrolled in the PlayStation Stars program will automatically earn points whenever they make a purchase on the PlayStation Store.
