GAMEPLAY
Addressed:
- Players can get stuck with a lock door leading to “King Boss”, even with all three gongs activated. Leaving them unable to continue the main story.*² *³
- Rare crash that could occur during “King Boss” boss fight following the main story and during fights in Boss Revenge/Boss Rush.
*²Active fix for players stuck at the door leading to “King Boss” in their save file:
If a player has a save file with a locked door, but they
- haven’t passed through it yet, so the path to “King Boss”‘ area on the map is fogged, then the player will have to redo the 3 gongs to unlock the main door.*³
- have already visited the area leading to “King Boss”, and might have even tried to fight him, then the player will have to go to visit any area that is not The Tower of Silence, then go back to the door and reopen it. If this didn’t help, the three gongs will have to be redone.*³
*³Addressed with the help of player feedback or notification.
While Ubisoft hasn’t said anything, one community member got confirmation of what this bug fixes, and this fixes the King Darius door bug! Here’s the message from the Ubisoft rep that confirmed the fix:
“The issue where the door to King Darius remains closed despite all three gongs being rung should now be resolved as of the latest game update, released today. Please ensure you’ve downloaded the latest patch so the fix can be applied.
If you died to Darius and found the door locked, please try fast travelling to another zone in the game and back to the Tower of Silence, and you should be able to enter the doorway.
If you never fought Darius but found the door closed, you’ll need to ring the three gongs again to unlock the door.
Thanks for your patience while we worked to resolve this issue.”
Per the redditor, this patch did fix the bug with the gongs. No idea yet if there are other fixes connected to this title update, but once we know more, we’ll update the article.
If you haven’t played the game recently, a major update that added the Boss Attack Mode was released last month.
