Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Release Window Set for 2026

According to a new teaser unveiled at today’s Ubisoft Forward, Prince of Persia: The Sands of time Remake is now set for a 2026 release date. Despite the fact that the game was supposed to release years ago, it’s still exciting to see it finally get a more precise window.

The teaser, which showed us pretty much nothing other than a window-adjacent candle, confirmed that the game is slated to release in 2026. Prior to today’s presentation, we last got an update on the game when the official Prince of Persia Twitter/X account shared that the team had passed an important milestone:

As you know, the passionate team at @UbisoftMTL is reimagining this legendary story, and we are glad to announce today that the project has passed an important internal milestone and development is progressing.

We’ll say what we’re all thinking: we’re about ready for some gameplay. The Sands of Time is easily the most beloved entry in the Prince of Persia franchise. Fans have been foaming at the mouth for this game for years upon years by this point, and we’d certainly love to see something new to salivate over. Guess we’ll just have to wait a little longer.
