Looks like Ubisoft won’t be showing off its progress with one of the most awaited remakes gamers are waiting for, as the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake skips Ubisoft Forward — with the company now stating that the game launches sometime in 2022.
In a special message released by the development team, the game is still in development for a targeted release next year — and the company is not ready to show off new progress on the remake following the disappointing reveal trailer that was released months ago.

If you’re new to the series or have no idea what The Sands of Time is about, here is the overview from Ubisoft.
Critically acclaimed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is back! Remade for the first time by Ubisoft, relive this legendary tale, or discover it new for the first time. Embark on a journey as the Prince to save your kingdom from the treacherous Vizier, in this timeless classic.
Initially set for a March 18, 2021 release, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was put back into development following the lackluster reception fans had over the graphics presented in its first trailer — which looked anything but revolutionary or befitting for a long awaited remake to the action-adventure game released back in 2003.
While the game has been delayed to next year, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake’s trophies were listed a few months back and you can check them out here.
