The See-Through View will allow users to see their surroundings while wearing the headset. This will allow users to easily find their Sense controllers and set the boundaries to their Play Area without taking the headset off.

The Play Area feature will allow players to scan the room using the Sense controllers, and then expand or further customize the play area to fit their needs and environment. A new broadcast feature is also making its way to the new headset. This feature will allow players to record themselves while playing a game by connecting a PS5 HD Camera to their PS5 console.

Finally, the new VR Mode and Cinematic Mode will allow players to customize their experience based on what they are doing.

VR Mode is for games set in a 360-degree virtual environment and will be displayed in 4000 x 2040 HDR with a 90Hz to 120Hz frame rate.

Cinematic Mode is reserved for the PS5 system, UI, and all other non-VR content. Players will use this mode to view media content on a virtual cinema screen in 1920×1080 HDR with 24/60Hz and also 120Hz frame rate.

The new user experience for the  PSVR2 will soon be available for developers. PlayStation promises more information will soon be shared including the launch date and additional games.
