With upcoming action RPG Remnant 2 just around the corner, Gunfire Games president David Adams held a Q&A on Twitter. In the thread, he confirmed a few things, including a Remnant 2 performance mode with 60 FPS and a motion blur toggle, among other things.
Here’s the tweet where Adams confirms performance mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X:
Ok. So far these are easy. 1) yes you can turn off motion blur 2) No. No swamp stuff. Sorry. 3) Yes. There is a 60fps performance mode on console XSX and PS5. It may dip occasionally but it’s overall pretty solid.

According to Adams, Remnant 2’s performance mode is “pretty solid,” though you may experience occasional FPS dips. You will also be able to turn off motion blur, a feature that many players often disable in games early on.
Adams also confirmed a few other things in a follow-up tweet:
Ok. I said I’d answer one but I’ll answer a few more 1) yes you can change your primary archetype 2) yes it launches with adventure mode 3) there are secrets I won’t say where 4) we plan to make some cool stuff for post launch just stay tuned.

It looks like players will be able to change their primary archetype should they feel like the original one they chose didn’t fit their playstyle, and adventure mode will be available from the get-go. Players with a keen eye may also be able to spot secrets littered throughout the world, and Adams seems to have quite a bit of content ready for players following the game’s launch.
Remnant 2 shoots out this July 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Be sure to look out for our review of the game when it comes out!
