Report: Final Fantasy XVI PC Version Seemingly Confirmed by NVIDIA Drivers Leak
Recent developments suggest that Final Fantasy XVI might soon be available on PC. Nvidia’s latest driver update, version 560.81, includes a game-ready profile for Final Fantasy XVI.
This update was not officially listed in the release notes but was discovered by a Reddit user, who shared the findings on the platform.

The presence of this game-ready profile indicates that the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI is likely nearing its release. Square Enix might announce the release soon, or they might even surprise fans with an unannounced launch on platforms like Steam.
In an interview, Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, shared insights about the upcoming PC version. He mentioned new features such as support for over 100 fps, ultra-wide displays, and mouse and keyboard controls. Yoshida explained that the team had optimized the game for PC, improving its performance and making these enhancements available for the PS5 version as well.
Yoshida also revealed that Square Enix plans to release a playable demo for the PC version. This demo will allow players to test the game’s performance on their systems, offering a variety of graphical settings to adjust.
For those eagerly awaiting the PC release, these updates are promising. If more news emerges, we will keep you updated. Until then, you can read our Final Fantasy XVI review where we said, “Final Fantasy XVI is one of the best games of 2023, and one of the best Final Fantasy games in ages.”
