After initially revealing that the original Xbox games will be available as backwards compatible titles in the near future during this year’s E3, it seems Microsoft is getting very close to making this feature available to Xbox One users. Either that or at the very least getting ready to announce the very first few titles for the program.
Just recently, a pretty interesting image was discovered on the internet, which shows off an handful of original Xbox titles such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and many more.
If this image is to believed, Microsoft seems intent with starting off the program with a bang so to speak. As this first batch of original Xbox games also includes great games like Fusion Frenzy and Ninja Gaiden: Black. For the full list of rumored games, check them out below:
- BloodRayne 2
- Crimson Skies
- Dead to Rights
- Fuzion Frenzy
- Grabbed by the Ghoulies
- The King of Fighters: NeoWave
- Ninja Gaiden: Black
- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
- Psychonauts
- Red Faction II
- Sid Meier’s Pirates!
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Though as with every rumor, you should take this image with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made from Microsoft. As to when we can expect some sort of announcement, it seems that Microsoft’s very own Albert Penello has the answer to that as he revealed via his Twitter account that Microsoft is set to make an announcement regarding the original Xbox backwards compatibility program ‘soon.’
Stay Tuned! 🙂 More info soon on OG.
