Report: God of War Ragnarok Release Date Planned for November 2022

While God of War Ragnarok didn’t make an appearance at this month’s State of Play, a new report has surfaced that states the God of War Ragnarok release date is targeted for November 2023, contrary to rumors swirling online that it has been delayed to 2023.

This new update on the release date comes from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who’s very reliable when it comes to leaks and rumors (which is why we’re reporting on it as well). According to Schreier, three people “familiar with the game’s development” have mentioned this November release date, and the official announcement is said to be due later this month.

While Schreier is quite reliable, this is still not an official announcement from Sony, and as such, treat it with a grain of salt, still.

That said, given how Sony has no big game announced for release this holidays, God of War Ragnarok being that game fits the bill nicely. There’s no way that Sony will let the coming holidays come and go without releasing one major game to boost sales, and the latest adventure of Kratos is just what the company needs to fill that gap. There is the recently announced The Last of Us Part I remake, though that one is due in September already.
