Report: Overwatch 2 to Be Revealed This Week, Will Feature PvE, New Mode & More

overwatch 2

If you’re still playing Overwatch and wondered whether we’ll see a sequel to it anytime soon, apparently, the answer to that is a resounding yes. Allegedly, Blizzard will unveil Overwatch 2 at BlizzCon this week, and this time, the game will feature PvE (players vs enemies)!

According to documents obtained by ESPN, the sequel will officially be called Overwatch 2, and it will feature a new logo, new game modes, new maps, at least one new hero, and the aforementioned PvE mode. ESPN says that hero skills and in-game items are coming to Overwatch 2 PvE, and one of the missions will be a four-player story experience set in Rio de Janeiro.

Furthermore, a new mode called “Push” will be revealed at BlizzCon alongside Assault, Control, Escort, and Hybrid. The Push game mode will be set on a new map based in Toronto according to ESPN’s leaked documents. For those attending BlizzCon, it’s mentioned that both the new Push game mode and the PvE mode will be playable at the event.

Bear in mind, all these are rumors until confirmed or denied by Blizzard Entertainment, but given with leaks like these, chances are, it’s the real deal. We’ll know for sure this coming weekend when BlizzCon keeps off this Friday in California.
