Psyonix has a major Rocket League patch incoming tomorrow, and it’s the “Spring Feature Update!” Wait, scratch that, it’s now known as the Rocket League Tournament Update, and as the name suggests, it adds the new Tournaments system, which was available to select PC players earlier this month.

The Rocket League Tournament Update will let players to create and join in-game tournaments, tweak entry via Competitive Rank and more! Watch a trailer of it below.

Here’s some of the improvements coming with the update, and these are the ones asked for by the Rocket League community:

  • Additional ways to sort, filter, and organize your item inventory

  • Equipping specific Painted Car Bodies to Orange and Blue

  • Restrict chat to Team Quick Chat Only

  • In-game Connection Quality Status indicators

  • Performance improvements and additional graphics settings for Rocket League on Nintendo Switch

In addition to that, there’s new in-game music coming from Monstercat, and the new “Triumph” Rocket League crates! According to Psyonix, the feedback collected from the Tournaments Beta will determine what’ll be in the “V2” version of Tournaments, which the studio is aiming to roll out later this year.

Full patch notes and more details will be released soon, so keep an eye out. Once the patch is live, we’ll make sure to let our readers know.
