Double Eleven has pushed out Rust update 1.88, and this is a minor patch that brings a short list of fixes. Read on for everything new in the official Rust update notes for January 31.
Rust Update 1.88 for January 31 Patch Notes:
GAMEPLAY
- Shooting a scientist with incendiary/fire ammo no longer crashes the game.
- Global.say now has an output.
- Players now see the “Building Blocked” indicator and red building block when holding building plan within TC range.
There was also a patch released last week, which housed a lot of improvements. For convenience, we’ve included those below too.
COMMUNITY SERVER CHANGES
- Reintroduced Server name colours.
- Players no longer turn invisible after getting kicked/leaving the server while sitting/mounting.
GAMEPLAY
- Players no longer rubberband across the map after walking distances.
- Fixed FPS drop when players are in Large Bases.
- Shooting projectiles from firearms no longer causes FPS drop.
- Optimised Movement sounds.
- Optimised to Music playback.
- Barbed Wood barricade, high external stone gate/wall, high external wooden gate/wall and short/high ice wall will no longer cause damage in PvE.
- Fixed a crash when spectating and dropping a player’s item at the same time as they drop the item.
WORLD
- Players can no longer ride boats below the foundation, clipping through the base.
- Plants now have correct textures.
- Scientists no longer have transparent patterns on their visors.
- Players no longer see through the bottom of Siren Lights.
- Fixed LOD issues with lockers.
ITEMS
- Players are now able to select fertiliser as cost items at vending machine order listing.
