Sea of Thieves Down for Server Maintenance and to Usher in PS5 Players This April 30

Sea of Thieves Down

Those trying to set sail but their ships won’t move in Sea of Thieves, it’s not just you, as Rare has pulled the Sea of Thieves servers down for maintenance this April 30, and once the servers are back up, expect the PS5 players to jump ship as well (pun intended), and of course, the arrival of Season 12!

Sea of Thieves Down for Server Maintenance Schedule This April 30:

Here’s the announcement from Rare about today’s server outage:

“The Sea of Thieves servers are now offline for the arrival of both Season 12 and pirates on @PlayStation 5! Just give us some time to pop in and add those new weapons and tools, then we’ll let you get to it. Remember, there will be an update to download before you next set sail.”

While there is no mention of how long the servers will be out, it usually lasts for 4-7 hours, so don’t be surprised if servers take a fair bit before being live again at 7:20 am ET/4:20 am PT or 10:20 am ET/7:20 am PT.

Once we get an update on the server situation, we’ll be sure to amend the article with the proper info. Same as with the patch notes for Season 12, once it’s available, we’ll be sure to include a link to it in the article for convenience.
