Sea of Thieves Update 1.000.021 Splashes Out This November 22

After releasing a new update a few days ago, Rare has released a new patch for Sea of Thieves today. Those on consoles will see this as update 1.000.021 and you can check out more details about it below.

Known Issues in Sea of Thieves?

Rare has not posted any official patch notes for this update yet, but the Reddit community has highlighted some current issues with the game. Check out their findings below.

I took a break a few weeks before season 14, and didn’t bother playing until yesterday after the debacle of a launch this season had. FINALLY decided to give it a shot after they added the features back in “working” state. But the following issues persist:

• Sneaking rarely works against NPCs, making the tedious commendations that are required to unlock disguises all the more difficult
• Lure darts don’t always work on NPCs
• Trying to hang of skelly ships for commendation is impossible right now because they always know you’re there and shoot you off right away. I’ve tried all manner of breaking los, killing them all before hanging, etc. Nothing works.
• Completing the required commendations doesn’t even unlock the disguises right now.
• Some commendations won’t even track. Like the one where you have to put out an enemy explosive blow dart with water. I’ve tried that multiple times in various ways and it doesn’t work.

I just don’t understand. Even after delaying the update, they still can’t get this stuff right when they release it. I’m so sick of this crap and it’s why I took a couple months off. How are they not catching this stuff?

Is this really still an issue? I’ve been experiencing it in-game and as I understand it it’s been an issue for years. Why haven’t they fixed it?

Just started playing yesterday and the voice chat in game does not work. I can see when other people talk but can’t hear them nor can they hear me.
