Shovel Knight Developer’s New Game, Mina the Hollower, Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
Yacht Club Games, the studio that brought us the incredible Shovel Knight game, has announced that their newest upcoming game, Mina the Hollower, has been delayed. It was initially coming out this month, but now it has no release date.
Thankfully, it’s not supposed to be a major delay as the extra time is being used for final polishing and balancing.
Mina the Hollower Release Date Pushed Out to an Unknown Date

As shared by Yacht Club Games on their official website, Mine the Hollower has been delayed. Planned to release on October 31, 2025, the game has been pushed out indefinitely as the team works on some final polishing.
“This week, our team made a tough decision: we decided to delay Mina the Hollower.” Yatcht Club Games said in the announcement, “The entire crew has been working tirelessly day and night to finish development for release on Oct 31st, but we’re just not quite there yet. This isn’t a major delay, it’s just a stretch of time to apply some final polish and balancing to make the game truly shine.
With that said, we would like to apologize! Nevertheless, we will not waver on our commitment to quality. Our goal is to make sure our development team has the time and resources to deliver an incredible adventure and we will be giving you just that. That’s no hollow promise!
They’ve detailed the final phase of work that they are doing to make sure the game is up to standard for release:
- Finalizing design, art, and sound
- Overall game balancing
- Implementing localization
- Eating cheese
- Testing, testing, testing… on all platforms!
Mina the Hollower awaits a new release date, but is scheduled to arrive on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it comes out.
