For those seeking the next challenge in Sifu, Sloclap has something in mind, as the Sifu next update is set for release this August 31, and is known as the game’s Summer 2022 update. This will bring new modifiers, a new scoring system, and outfits.

The brand new gameplay modifiers and new scoring system will swing Sifu in two directions: bumping the game’s challenge up by letting enemies ignore a player’s guard and preventing them from picking up weapons, or giving them infinite health and structure and unbreakable weapons. Players can also make their own “hardcore” runs by making enemies stronger, reducing their character’s health to a single hit point, and removing aging as well as guarding.

The new scoring system will take into account every punch, kick, sweep and finisher performed, and it will dish out a ranking based on a player’s smoothness, efficiency and variety. Players who are good enough at going through enemies without getting hit, you’ll be greeted with a score worth bragging about.

Two new outfits are also coming in this Sifu upcoming patch on August 31. There’s the Enforcer armor, which is a set that covers Sifu’s hero in a suit of tactical equipment (will be available to those who own the Deluxe edition), and there’s also the Master Hand outfit that will be available to all players. The Master Hand outfit will feature a sleek trench coat and a stylish hat, and players will be tasked to avoid every incoming attack if they want to keep their look intact.
