Sllent Hill: Townfall Might Be Making You Dizzy and Nauseous; Here’s What Might Help
Silent Hill: Townfall is now out in early access! If you’ve started your playthrough this first-person horror romp, you might have noticed something that felt a little off.
As someone who’s been playing first-person shooters all my life, I was surprised that I felt dizzy and nauseous playing Townfall. It seems I’m not the only one, as even our own Managing Editor Jimmy Lara felt the same way.
If it’s happening to us, then there’s a good chance it’s happening to others too. Thankfully, we found a “fix” for this little dilemma.
Silent Hill: Townfall’s “Nauseating” Effect Due to FoV
We find that changing these options helped stop whatever bad feeling we felt when playing the game, and we recommend the following:
- Override Field of View – Turn On
- Head Bob – Turn off
- Field of View – 85 (max)
- Turn Aim Sensitivity down – 0.5
- Turn off motion blur
- Turn off letterboxing
You can also check out the gallery above to see the changes we made in pictures.
Changing these settings helped us a lot, and we hope it does wonders for you too. Players should be fighting the monsters in Silent Hill: Townfall, and not the game itself, right?
This little bump aside, Townfall continues Konami’s string of fantasic Silent Hill games, as our review states, “Issues aside, Screen Burn Interactive has absolutely nailed the feel, look, and atmosphere of psychological dread that fans have been craving for decades. It’s 3/3 for Konami when it comes to the Silent Hill franchise release, as Townfall is another horror experience gamers will want to get lost in.”
