Rebellion Developments has fired out the Sniper Elite 5 update 1.04 patch on all platforms, and this is to fix a list of crashes alongside other improvements. Check out the complete Sniper Elite 5 May 28 patch notes below (this is called the Day 2 patch by the devs).
Sniper Elite 5 Update 1.04 Patch Notes | Sniper Elite 5 May 28 Patch Notes:
• Fixed a crash when shooting the Machine Gun team loader before the gunner
• Fixed an occasional crash when shooting into the water
• Fixed players not receiving weapon attachments when visiting workbenches in Wolf Mountain DLC
• Fixed Achievements/Trophies not always unlocking: Covert Elimination + Reich To The Point in the Wolf Mountain DLC
• Player no longer gets stuck in reload animation
• Fixed missing explosion sounds (for example, on the satchel charge)
• Client no longer gets kicked after the first cutscene of some missions in co-op games.
That’s about it. If there are other changes made on other platforms that aren’t in the list, we’ll update the post accordingly. If you haven’t played the game yet, go check out our review where it snagged a 9/10 score, with us stating, “Rebellion delivers on, not only keeps the fundamentals of what made the franchise so great, but also keeps it in a way where they’re able to expand on it without losing its identity. While the semi-open world does have some faults, it was an appropriate step for the series to take, one that I cannot wait to see unfold further into the future.”

Don’t waste your time or money paying full price for this. IF, like me, are a true Sniper Elite fan and player, you will quite soon realize that Sniper Elite 5 is step backwards, but in some cases, worse : they actually REMOVED some of ‘thee’ most essential game mechanics FROM the ‘experience’. Additionally, it is NOT NEARLY [AS] ‘Open World’ as WAS SE4. You can ‘climb up’ immense walls, but CAN NOT climb OVER a hedge row that is less than 2 feet high..??? There is really no more ‘free-roaming’ / OPEN MAP experience. Mind you, IF..you are just a ‘casual’ / somewhat brainless / low key type low horsepower mental defective, then GREAT : you WILL…BE…PLEASED. As for ME…I have NO issue going back to just keep on playing SE4. It is SUPERIOR in ALL respects, and, as is now obvious, it was the ‘PEAK’ Sniper Elite experience. Shame, sad, BUT true.
