The announcement doesn’t come with any specific information, so we don’t know for sure what will become of the devs within PixelOpus. The studio had been hiring talent in 2021 to work on a third game while collaborating with Sony Pictures Animation on “an exciting new PlayStation 5 title” that would run on Unreal Engine 5 (via VGC).
With this announcement, it’s unsure as to whether the game is still in development or not, or if players will even get to see what it looks like. It’s possible that work on the project was handed over to another team, though all we can do at this point is wait for an official statement on the matter.
