Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes: Following PC Release, “No Plans” for Console Versions Yet, Controller Support Being Looked Into
While EA just launched Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes on PC last week which featured improvements from its mobile version, it doesn’t seem like a console version is on the way anytime soon.
This was mentioned to us by Capital Games Producer Caley Roberts in a chat with MP1st about the game.
Q: Are there any plans to release on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, or last gen?
Roberts: We have no plans right now. We’re just trying to get us out to worldwide launch on our EA app. Who knows? We could see, as we move forward, there might be opportunities to move to those different devices. But right now we’re just looking at the PC version.
We also asked about the possibility having controller support of the PC version, and the studio can’t say for now.
Q: Will the PC version support controllers?
Roberts: We are not supporting controllers yet, but we are absolutely looking at a lot of the accessibility features, that are really important to our players.
We’re releasing disabled characters in our game, and we want to make sure that we support people, who might need to use controllers. We are looking at that for worldwide launch, but it will not be available in the early access build.
We’ll chalk that controller support to a maybe, then. Our full chat with Capital Games is going up this week, so stay tuned. To know more about Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes’ PC early access release, read on for our preview.
