Star Wars Outlaws Players Are Being Told by Ubisoft to Delete Save and Start It With Day One Patch Installed
For those who bought the Gold and Ultimate editions of Star Wars Outlaws, you can now play the game as part of its three-day early access perks. If you’re one of the people that is playing early access, you should update the game to version 1.000.002, which is the game’s day-one patch.
If you haven’t, well, Ubisoft really does want you to do that, as they’ve even emailed PS5 owners about it, even.
To best experience the Outer Rim, we rolled out a maintenance to make sure everyone is playing the latest version of the game. As one of the players affected who had access to an older version of the game, we are aware you might be encountering some issues after this recent patch. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To solve the issue, please make sure you are playing Version 1.000.002. Here’s how to check your version: From the game tile, select “Options”. Go to “Information”. On the Version line, locate the version number. Once you’ve confirmed you have the latest version, please start a new save to fully enjoy Star Wars Outlaws as our team intended. If you continue on a prior save you will unfortunately face issues and progression blockers.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support! If you run into any other issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
If you’re just loading the game now, once you connect online, you’ll automatically download the patch once you boot the game — provided you’re connected to the net, of course. For those that pre-loaded but haven’t patched the game yet, we suggest you do as this should make the experience a whole lot better.
If you’re on the fence whether to get the game, go check out our review here.
Star Wars Outlaws retail release is on August 30 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Let it be known, this is what you get for paying $110 to play an Ubisoft game early. You get screwed. Never preorder an Ubisoft game, never buy it within the first month of release. If you can hold off on 2 months, it will be 40% off in a flash sale on PSN and probably worth the price at that point.
So sad I don’t have my pc this week and miss out on spending a months worth of gas to experience such incredible groundbreaking moments as they happen.
