A new contender enters the arena, or will do so soon, as A.K.I. gets ready to drop into Street Fighter 6 later this year. The new Street Fighter 6 trailer reveals A.K.I. in all her maniacal glory, thanks to a cinematic that will serve as the first World Tour mode cutscene. Unfortunately, this trailer doesn’t include a hint of gameplay, so we’ll have to wait a while before we get to see how A.K.I. is going to sink her nails into her opponents.

The second character from Street Fighter 6 year one, A.K.I. follows on Rashid’s release last July as the new Street Fighter 6 DLC character. A.K.I. will be available to owners of the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition or the Year 1 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass of Street Fighter 6 when she releases in Autumn 2023. The date remains vague for now, but Capcom is surely going to reveal more details soon, along with an A.K.I. gameplay reveal video.

A.K.I. is described as a “maniacal poison aficionado” and it’s clear that she uses her nails to some extent as a means to confuse opponents. How this will play out in the arena, we’re yet to see.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter 6 Crossover Coming Tomorrow

In related news, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Street Fighter 6 collaboration is approaching, with the famous pizza-loving turtles coming into the fighting game tomorrow, August 8, 2023. Ralph, Leo, Mikey, and Donny bring costumes, emotes, accessories, stamps, and more into the game. You can check the trailer below.
