“Street Fighter: Duel” for Mobile Announced, Releases This Feb. 2023

Street Fighter 6 isn’t the only upcoming game from the Street Fighter franchise. A newly announced title called “Street Fighter: Duel” is set to launch this February, earlier than SF6’s June 2 release date, but instead of being a fighting game, it’ll be a mobile RPG title.

An official announcement trailer was published for Street Fighter: Duel, and it’s pretty vague.

While we didn’t actually get any in-game footage of Street Fighter: Duel from the trailer itself, an IGN article does show off a few gameplay screenshots. It’s your typical 2D party-based mobile RPG, which may or may not be a disappointment to some fans. The game is being developed by both Capgom and Crunchyroll Games.

Like other mobile RPG games, Street Fighter: Duel will feature an array of fighters that you can level up via “gameplay or in-app purchases.” The game will also feature exclusive skins that you won’t find anywhere else in the SF franchise.

There isn’t an exact release date for Street Fighter: Duel, but its February 2023 launch does mean it’ll be available fairly soon. You can pre-register for the game in select locations, including the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and certain European countries.
