The Finals Release Date

Contestants, we know you’ve been eager to jump back into Embark’s first-person competitive shooter, The Finals ever since the open betas ended. There have been many questions and speculations around The Finals release date, and we’re glad to announce that we finally have one. When you ask? Well, that’s the best part: The Finals is now available to play worldwide!

The Finals Release Date Announced

As announced during The Game Awards, The Finals can now be played on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

“We started Embark to re-imagine how games are made and what they can become. THE FINALS is our first game to release, and a great embodiment of that vision,” said Gustav Tilleby, Creative Director. “THE FINALS isn’t another battle royale, military sim, or tactical FPS – there are plenty of those out there. It’s an entirely new take on shooters. It’s been amazing and humbling to see the response from the community over the past year of testing. Now that the game is live, we’re laser-focused on ensuring a great experience for our community, with many surprises along the way.”

Season 1 is also live with the game, which introduces a new Battle Pass, cosmetics, and a Las Vegas map, where, if you’re lucky, you may encounter beings from another planet. I’m talking about UFOs, a new random in-game event that comes with the map.

Talk about a massive surprise! I bet you weren’t expecting a shadow drop to happen, and yet here we are.

This won’t be the only news to come out today, as we’ll have additional coverage of The Finals up shortly, including some exclusives from us! So stay tuned!

The Finals is available now on Steam, the Xbox Game Store, and the PlayStation Store.
