The Game Awards event is officially returning this year to celebrate the best the gaming industry has to offer for the year 2022. The Game Awards 2022 date and location are now official, with more information regarding the show and tickets to be revealed in the Fall.

The Game Awards 2022 is now confirmed to take place towards the end of the year (as usual), on December 8, 2022. The event will be streamed live from none other than the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. As expected, The Game Awards 2022 will be available to stream worldwide for free on all social platforms. The event will also be available in select IMAX theaters around the globe for a more premium experience, on the big screen.

As per usual, the event will award numerous games for several awards including the Game of the Year award, Best Narrative award, Best Score and Music award, and many more. We’re also expecting game reveals, new gameplay looks and more to be present in the show as well.

The show is also set to include a brand new “Best Adaptation” category. This category is expected to honor the best movie or TV show that adapted material from a video game. This may include the new Sonic and Uncharted movies, or the Halo and The Last of Us TV series.

The Game Awards 2022 date is now officially set for December 8, 2022.
