The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Delayed; Pushed Back to Spring 2023

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Delay

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delay, with the highly anti decipated game pushed back to Spring 2023. Series producer Eiji Aonuma delivered the announcement over on YouTube, although the delay was not the only thing that stole the show, as we also got treated to seconds of new footage that shares an interesting tidbit for the game. Check out the announcement below.

Here’s the meat of the announcement of the delay for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2:

As previously announced, the adventure in this sequel will take place not just on the ground as in the previous game, but also in the skies above. However, the expanded world goes beyond that, and there will be an even wider variety of features you can enjoy, including new encounters and gameplay elements.

In order to make this game’s experience something special, the entire development team is continuing to work diligently on this game, so please wait a while longer.

As for that new footage, you can see it at around 0:53 of the video. As Link pulls out the Master Sword, we get to see that more than half of it has been eaten away. This points to a possible scenario where fixing the iconic sword will be tied into Link’s new adventure, and fans of the series will have to wait and see next year how it will turn out.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this Spring 2023.
