Update: Maxis has released the official patch notes!
Hello Simmers
What a week – Behind The Sims, The Sims 4 launched on Epic Games Store, and a patch. That last one is why we are here again. These release notes are short as it’s focused on fixing one thing, crashing.
We appreciate all of the reports and feedback around the issue and appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked on getting this fix implemented.

Base Game
- We identified an issue which was causing The Sims 4 to shut down on PlayStation and Xbox. We have taken steps to address this and this particular issue should no longer occur.
Maxis hasn’t acknowledged today’s title update just yet. We’re expect bug fixes to be part of today’s patch, though given the next major expansion is already known, and is set to be released next month,
The recent announcement from the official The Sims Twitter account is about the franchise’s 23rd anniversary.
