After months and months of clamoring, we’re finally getting a Vampire Survivors PlayStation version later this year. Announced during today’s Triple-i Initiative Showcase, the popular horde survival game will arrive on PS4 and PS5 this summer, with all platforms receiving a hefty new Contra-themed DLC in the meantime.

You can watch the Vampire Survivors PlayStation announce trailer below:

As the trailer reveals in comedic fashion, Vampire Survivors is slated for both PS4 and PS5 sometime during the summer. Following that announcement, the team also revealed that a Contra crossover DLC will be arriving in-game on May 9. The DLC is titled “Operation Guns,” and it’ll be purchasable for $2.49/€2.49/£1.99.

Operation Guns will feature characters, weapons, and maps all inspired by and borrowed from Konami’s classic run n’ gun franchise. Specifically, the team has confirmed the following:

  • 11 gun-slinging characters
  • 22 new weapons between base versions and evolutions. They’re not all guns – some of them trigger explosions too!
  • 1 large stage and 1 bonus stage
  • 13 music tracks directly from the Contra series and 6 brand new covers
  • An explosively silly 6-chapters Adventure

Additionally, Poncle has stated that they’re hoping to bring cross-save functionality to the game by the time the Vampire Survivors PlayStation ports are released. This would enable players to retain their progress regardless of which platform they play on, which is a much-appreciated feature considering how well the game lends itself to mobile play on a Switch or smartphone.

Vampire Survivors launches on PS4 and PS5 sometime in Summer 2024. Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns launches for all current platforms on May 9.
