Warframe Devstream 163: New Warframe “Styanax” Animated Short and Abilities Revealed, Will be Free to All Players

Warframe Devstream 163

The previously announced Digital Extremes’ Warframe Devstream 163 has concluded. It gave us the first look at the studio’s animated short revealing Synatax alongside more insight into Kahl-175 missions, Archon Hunts, the new Protea Caladrius Collection, and the upcoming Veilbreaker update. Here’s a Warframe Devstream 163 recap going over everything that was announced so you can stay up-to-date.

Styanax and his abilities:

Styanax is the 50th unique Warframe coming to the game. Here’s an insight into the character and his unique abilities:

  • Inspired by ancient Greek mythology, Styanax is a mighty and herculean
Warframe with formidable abilities and immense power for Warframe players to master
    on the battlefield.

Styanax Abilities:

  • Axios Javelin – Call upon the Axios Javelin. Any enemy Styanax strikes
with his javelin is pushed back. When the javelin propels an enemy into a
wall, the area suffers a burst of damage.
  • Tharros Strike – Summon Tharros, the shield of Styanax. Swing Tharros
to repel enemies and reduce their shields and armor. Styanax
regenerates health for every enemy struck.
  • Rally Point – Draw enemy attention to Styanax. His resolve uplifts nearby
allies, regenerating their energy and shields. Shield regeneration
increases with the number of enemies near Styanax.
  • Final Stand – Exude might and valor. Rise into the air and throw a
barrage of Axios Javelins. The javelins deal damage to nearby enemies
wherever they land. Direct hits to enemies deal even greater damage.

Styanax Accessories, Customizations, and Weapons:

  • Primary Weapon: Afentis – Styanax’s speargun matches his might. Throw Afentis to pin an enemy and nearby enemies will also be stunned. Throw Afentis onto the ground to create a field that buffs allies. When allies bolstered by Afentis kill an enemy, they maintain the buff for a short
time after they leave the field.
  • Lanex Syandana – A syandana for the intrepid.

Alongside the release of Styanax, Warframe’s Veilbreaker update will also bring back Kahl-175 as a playable character in a new quest. The quest follows the events of the critically-acclaimed update The New War. As Kahl, players will utilize new powerful abilities and tech gained along the way to fight their way through a Sentient onslaught and returning Archon boss enemies aboard the Murex while circumventing their intriguing technology to locate and safely release his brothers from imprisonment.
In addition to a new single-player quest, Warframe’s Veilbreaker update is set to add a slew of
new playable weekly missions with Kahl-175 at the center of the action.

Kahl’s Customizations include:

  • Access to exclusive helmets
  • Exclusive armors
  • Exclusive Accessories

All of this can be obtained by increasing Standing in Kahl’s Garrison.

Here’s a highlight of everything else that was announced during the livestream:
