Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Improved Visuals, Additional Content and More

Witcher 3 Next Gen Update Gameplay

It’s been a little over a week since CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen update release date, and the developer has already revealed footage of the game. Take a look at The Witcher 3’s next-gen update gameplay in this two-minute trailer:

Free next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X on December 14th, 2022! Experience the game as never before, with improved visuals and performance, new additional content, Photo Mode, and more…

Witcher 3’s next-gen update hopes to bring the seven-year-old title up to modern standards, with performance and graphical improvements across the board. The game will also receive additional content inspired by Netflix’s The Witcher series. This includes the sleek black witcher outfit that actor Henry Cavill wore while playing as Geralt of Rivia. The free update is available for both the base game and the Complete Edition, so you won’t have to worry about not owning any of the DLCs.

Here are just some of the improvements to the game in terms of performance and graphics:

  • RT ambient occlusion and real-time global illumination
  • Better textures and foliage
  • 60FPS or 30FPS with ray tracing for PS5 and Xbox Series X
  • DualSense haptics support

Console players old and new will get to enjoy features such as DualSense haptics and raytracing support with consistent FPS. The texture improvements should also make the game feel more life-like and immersive.

The Witcher 3’s next-gen update is expected to roll out on December 14 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, so mark your calendars!
