Wreckfest Update 2.22

Bugbear Entertainment has crashed out Wreckfest update 2.22 (PS5 version 1.022), and this is an unannounced title update, so don’t expect anything new outside of fixes. Read on for what’s new in the Wreckfest August 22 patch notes.

Wreckfest Update 2.22 Patch Notes | Wreckfest Update 1.022 Patch Notes | Wreckfest August 22 Patch Notes:

Developer Bugbear has not said anything about today’s patch yet, and we’re unsure the developers will acknowledge it, as the studio didn’t announce anything for the patch that was released on July 13.

Over on Steam, user Boom or Bust listed the following bugs/annoyances:

・I felt that the frequency of AI attacks against the player was high. On some courses, it was like playing DD2’s Total Destruction mode in a race.

・Three AI vehicles, Tristar, Firefly, and Outlaw, seemed very difficult to spin out compared to the other vehicles.
If we were able to hook the rear of the vehicle, it would drag us down to the concrete wall. On the other hand, even if we tried to set it up, it was unusually strong on its feet, giving the illusion that it was setting up a spin-out on Big Rig.

・When running with the Tristar in short gear and set to automatic transmission, the gear does not go up to 2nd gear and stays in 1st gear.

・Starbeast and Starbeast SS engines sound quieter.

・The light on the roof of Starbeast SS does not shine.

・When the front bumper of Starbeast SS is changed to Steel Beam, the texture of the left half of the bumper becomes mosaic-like and strange.

・Super Venom cannot be equipped with normal and gold Blastro wheels(Racer).

・Rocket RX cannot be equipped with normal Savage wheels(Crasher).

・I felt that there were not enough color variations for Gatecrasher, and would like to see the addition of racing vehicles, etc. like other vehicles.

・I would like to see more vehicles in Early Access and Beta versions.
I like the Speedbird GT and Starbeast SS among the already existing vehicles, and I would like to see the old RoadSlayer GT version added, which is also in the example mod.

The devs have not shared anythingon Twitter or on the game’s official Discord channel. If that changes, we’ll update the post.
